Director-Producer Karan Johar who turned 46 yesterday made a major announcement on his birthday that he has started the preparation for his next directorial venture for which, the script has been already locked.

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director confirmed the same in an interview with DNA saying "I hope to come back refreshed and rejuvenated. I am excited about the break and I am also excited that I have finalised the script for my next directorial venture that should roll next year. I'll cast for my new film after returning from New York."

Karan has earlier given us some blockbusters like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Student of the Year, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with some amazing starcast. So, we can expect this time also that the filmmaker not disappoint us this time also with some promising names to the cast.

At present Kraan is busy with his producer role of Dharma Productions next venture Dhadak, which is a remake of Marathi superhit film ‘Sairat’. Dhadak will also mark the debut of Janhvi Kapoor alongside Ishaan Khatter.

Dhadak is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and is scheduled to release on July 20, 2018.
