Game of Thrones Season 6 to premiere on April 26th in India

hot news

Season 6 of the biggest ever fantasy drama series ‘Game of Thrones’ is one of the most anticipated season of a television series ever and the makers have made sure to keep the fans on tenterhooks until its premiere on April 26th in India.

The first episode of Season 6, called ‘The Red Woman’ is written by showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and directed by Jeremy Podeswa, who previously helmed the fifth and sixth episodes of season five, ‘Kill the Boy’ and "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken."

Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south. The opening episode of Season 6, ‘The Red Woman’, will depict a different and more vulnerable side of Melisandre, Cersei gets to see her daughter again, Daenerys meets a strong man and Jon Snow is dead.
