fbb Colors Femina Miss India West 2017 pageant wrapped up with infinite oomph and glamour on 23rd May, 2017 at Hyatt Regency Pune which played the perfect hospitality partner for the same. India’s most prestigious and credible beauty pageant gives the winners of the 4 states of the West Zone Miss India Rajasthan, Miss India Gujarat, Miss India Goa and Miss India Maharashtra, a lifetime opportunity to get a direct entry to the Grand Finale of fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2017 in June.      
 

The girls had to go through 3 rigorous rounds which included:-

• Modern India Round – The first round saw the girls dressed in amazing outfits designed by ace designer Alpa and Reena.The ladies were walking down in hues of gold, steel grey, seneca rock and apricot wash with saris, lehengas, dhotis, halters in silks, tulle, georgette that give volume to the garments. This collection “Luminaire” is inspired from classic silhouettes of Indian heritage with a contemporary twist.

• fbb Round –fbb’s party wear collection is not only a cool reflection of glamour but also scrupulous mix of trend led styles and pieces which exudes individuality and attitude. The collection has been teamed with bags from Holii

• Evening Gown Round – The girls had to grace the stage in the gown collection by Nivedita Saboo. Her collection is AN ORPHIC DREAM, the enchanting line up of iridescent gowns is a vivid juxtaposition of graphic, metallic leather embellishments that add a mysterious element of sexiness that give each gown its rapturous beauty!

For the very first time, the pageant is hosting mentors for each zone who will be guiding the contestants and helping them in any way they need. To take charge of the proceeding for the West Zone we have none other than a former Miss India, actress and host Waluscha De Sousa.

The Judges for the evening were:

Waluscha De Sousa - Waluscha De Sousa is an Indian model and a film actress. She made her debut as a female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2016 Hindi film Fan produced by Yash Raj Films. She hails from Goa and modeled for leading designers in the country and subsequently took part in the Miss India Pageant where she secured herself the ‘Miss Body Beautiful’ title.

Vijender Singh – Vijender Singh is an Indian professional boxer and the current WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion from Kaluwas, Bhiwani district in Haryana. At the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, he defeated Carlos Góngora of Ecuador which garnered him a bronze medal—the first ever Olympic medal for an Indian boxer. After this win, he was given a number of awards, including the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award and Padma Shri]. He participated at the World Amateur Boxing Championships where he won the bronze medal. In the same year, the International Boxing Association (AIBA) announced Vijender as the top-ranked boxer in its annual middleweight category r He also represented India at the London 2012 Olympic Game.

Srinidhi Shetty– Srinidhi Ramesh Shetty is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Diva - 2016 and also ended up winning the Miss Supranational 2016 pageant in the same year.

Swapnil Shinde–  Swapnil  Shinde is an ace designer who has his own label which is a premium luxury one which is flamboyant yet subtle with a charm of urban chic couture but above all its provocative.

AdinathKothare–Adinath Kothare is an Indian Marathi film actor, director, Film and Television Content Producer. He is the son of famous film maker and actor in marathi film industry Mahesh Kothare. He had worked with Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd. as an associate executive producer and and first appeared on screen as a child actor in his father film Maza Chakula (1994). In 2013 he acted in his father's first marathi true 3D film Zapatlela 2 which became a box office hit. He also acted in Renu Desai's produced and directorial debut marathi film Ishq Wala Love (2014) along with Sulagna Panigrahi, and many other interesting projects.

Enjoyable and enthralling performance by Salman Yusuf Khan, Gauhar Khan and Shibani Kashyap left the audience spell bound for the evening.
