hot news

It is said that style is a way to who you are, without having to speak while fashion is about dressing according to what is fashionable. The eminent designer Yves Saint Laurent also felt fashions fade, but style is eternal.

Stressing the importance of changing fashions to bring out the beauty of the style that exists within every human being, Azzurra is coming out with its second season of ‘The Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibition: Enhance the Best of Life!’ on 11 August at Vasant Continental Hotel. The event will also see the launch of a unique website, womenzo.com.

Womenzo is a one-stop shop for all your fashion and lifestyle needs. Being India's largest e-commerce store for fashion and lifestyle products, Womenzo aims at providing a hassle free and enjoyable shopping experience to shoppers across the country with the widest range of brands and products on its portal. The attempt is to bring latest fashions to shoppers with an array of the trendiest products available in the country.

Azzurra endeavours at spearheading initiatives which can foster creativity and business opportunities. This season will see newer and younger designers showcasing their talent.

The last decade has witnessed a significant growth in fashion industry and this challenging environment of discerning lovers stresses the need to employ a knowledge based approach to create a transparent and sophisticated market environment for fashionable people.

Azzurra also offers an opportunity for rising designers in the community to showcase their talent and creativity in a truly unique way and reach a larger audience.

Season two will feature among others Amaara by Ginni Khater, Rouche Couture by Shimpy Malhotra, Mustard by Sonia and Dolly, Indian Fashionara by Anjali Mittra, Sid N Vani, Make Up India Shivalik by Neha Sharma, Jewellery by Reema Bhola, Rachna’s Rack, and Falgun Suk by Devina, with the Tarrot card reader Kanupriya in attendance. In addition, some other reputed designers have been invited to exhibit their designs in the second edition.

Azzurra is the brainchild of Sakshi and Shikha who believe that fashion is for the discerning diva with an exquisite sense of contemporary style who will not stop at anything but the best that life has to offer.

With the stupendous success of the first edition where myriad designers and exhibitors impressed all with their collections,  Azzurra Edition 2 takes a step forward with prestigious exhibitors and not only seeks to provide a platform for budding talents, but also aims to cement its footprint in the fashion and lifestyle space.

As the two entrepreneurs feel, choosing to give in to the best of life is easy but one needs mettle to enhance that experience.

Shikha Sawhney founded brand Paprika in 2010 to deal in event management and personalized gifting solutions for corporate and families taking gifting to the next level. She graduated in commerce from Delhi University and post-graduated in finance from IBS Gurgaon. She feels that ‘as an entrepreneur, conquering challenge and failure is essential for the success of your business. The most important thing to do is do what you love and love what you do’.

Sakshi Arora graduated as a fashion designer from Pearl Academy in Delhi with an expertise in Retail entrepreneurship. With creative designing and a high profile background, she wants to bring a well managed platform for young talent to showcase their finest creations for all the creme de creme of Delhi's social circuit.

The two entrepreneurs appear to support the view of eminent designer Nina Garcia who said: “If you look back in history of the women who are most memorable and most stylish, they were never the followers of fashion. They were the ones who were unique in their style, breakers of the rules. They were authentic, genuine, original. They were not following the trends.”
